In Boise’s River Run and Spring Meadow communities, with a combined total of over 850 living units and 65,000 square feet of office space, OELLC worked closely with the City of Boise and a multitude of other agencies to create a two mile natural habitat expansion of the Boise River greenbelt system. In addition, OELLC created new streams and riparian areas that were designed to reestablish spawning beds and raring habitat for trout, which also serve as a haven for a variety of other wildlife species.
In 1979, O’Neill started River Run Development Company, the predecessor of OELLC. The venture developed River Run, a 120-acre planned residential community along the Boise River. River Run received the coveted Urban Land Institute Award for Excellence in 1990.
